Morning after camping - really pretty with the light shining through the trees. Olympic National Park, Sept. 2008.
This display had 3 colored spotlights flashing on about a 1-second interval - red, blue, and green. I left the shutter open for 8 seconds to get closer to the natural (white) background with the brightly-colored subject.

Birdhouse in the Italian garden at Butchart Gardens. The bird would hide pretty deep inside when anyone was close to the house, especially anyone poking around the hole with a camera. This was shot with my Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS at 300mm.
Iron/wire guitar, available at Butchart Gardens. I like the look of the image captured with available light.

No dinner party is complete without a tower of cheese.
Kind of liked the contrast between the blue LED lighting on the tree and the softer incandescent (or is it halogen?) lighting on the flag in the background with the focus set just in front of the flag.
Gentle waters in the harbor other than the diffraction coming from our ship. Houses along the coast starting to light up at night.
12/30 - Fantastic sunset while headed northeast (or maybe eastnortheast? not sure) toward Miami.
